The first record of an established population of Amblyomma maculatum (Acari: Ixodidae) in New Jersey, USA

In 2022, an established population of Amblyomma maculatum ticks, was discovered in New Jersey. This tick species is of veterinary and medical importance. The paper highlights the expansion of Amblyomma sp. ticks in the northeastern U.S. and the role mosquito control agencies can play in state tick surveillance programs.
